Hospitality is measured not by how a hotel handles extraordinary requests, but by how it responds to the simplest ones. My experience at the Berlin Marriott was overshadowed by an interaction with a restaurant employee named Danilo. I politely requested two glasses of milk for my 4-year-old daughter, expecting the level of courtesy and professionalism that one associates with the Marriott brand. Instead, I was met with an unnecessarily rude, dismissive, and confrontational attitude that was both surprising and disappointing. To make matters worse, I was charged $12 for two glasses of milk for my child. While hotels are certainly entitled to establish pricing policies, charging that amount for such a basic item—especially for a young child—is difficult to justify. It was also Sunday, when nearby grocery stores were closed, leaving us with virtually no alternative. Rather than showing understanding toward a family traveling with a small child, the situation was handled with a complete lack of empathy. Exceptional hospitality is defined by judgment, kindness, and common sense. Small acts of consideration toward families create lasting positive impressions, while unnecessary rigidity and poor service leave equally lasting negative ones. One unpleasant interaction may seem insignificant, but it has the power to undermine an otherwise positive stay. Marriott has built its reputation on service excellence, and experiences like this fall well below the standard that guests reasonably expect. I sincerely hope management addresses both the service culture demonstrated by this employee and the policy surrounding such basic requests. A world-class hotel should never leave a family feeling unwelcome over something as simple as milk for a child.

Basically it was ok, the staff was very nice. What we didn’t like is that there were no standard things in the room: coffee machine, slippers, bathrobe, minibar was empty - you need to go downstairs to order this - kind of weird for 5stars hotel However, we liked ordering to the room - it was very convenient
