We debated between staying here, or closer to the old city. So glad that we chose to stay here! Let me explain. The taxi situation during race weekend is horrible! This year over 115,000 people attended the race. If you stay in Milan and come into Monza you better be prepared to wait a long time for the buses and the trains! We went early every day to the track and had no trouble getting there. We requested the taxi via the uber app and that was much more economical than through the taxi company. On Friday it was clear that there were no taxis, in fact the taxi icon on the race track map is just there to amuse the Italians as they watch the tourists try to find a “taxi stand!” The hotel is walkable from the track, but if we had it to do over again we would have downloaded the Lime and or Dott app and looked for bikes and scooters to ride back. The ability to get into the old section for dinner is limited due to the taxi situation but fortunately the hotel has a rooftop bar and restaurant that is SOOOO FUN that there is no need to stress over not going into town for dinner! Carlos was such a great waiter, professional, friendly, a wealth of great suggestions, and a top notch race fan! Breakfast is great and the ladies who make and serve the breakfast do an outstanding job every morning. Lots of choices, and everything was very fresh. The absolute star is Riccardo, the manager of the hotel. He answered more questions from me than he probably did from all the other guests staying for race weekend!!! He is the best! His front desk staff could not be more helpful. They are all so professional, friendly, and so happy to see their guests enjoying Monza. Riccardo also suggested a local Italian place that is walking distance from the hotel that was delicious! Kimi Antenelli won the race this year and he is a local boy, so the city center was hopping! We were celebrating my husbands 70th birthday so we were happy to see the race and then enjoy a nice local dinner! The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The entire Williams Race Team stays here so there are not many rooms for the general public, we booked a year in advance! We could not have been happier. We wish Carlos, the breakfast staff, the front desk staff, and Ricardo all the best going forward! thank you for everything! ### Formel Einz in the last week · 4.0/5 The hotel was okay overall. It's well located, with the motorway right next to it and the racetrack just a few kilometers away. The rooms are small, and the breakfast is average.
