Immer wieder schön dort...
Waren vor kurzem wieder dort Essen.
Sauerbraten mit Knödel und Rotkraut. Fast wie bei Oma früher.
Mega.
Die Schnitzelplatte ist der Hammer. Richtig dünn, leckere Panade. Das war definitiv Hand-made.

Unfortunately, we cannot fully confirm the numerous positive reviews. Our assessment is considerably more reserved, especially regarding the two dishes we ordered.
The brisket for €28 failed to impress us in both presentation and taste. The presentation seemed uninspired and fell far short of what one would expect in this price range. It lacked depth and seasoning, and the meat was also noticeably marbled with fat. At €28, a more careful selection and preparation of the product, as well as a more sophisticated presentation, would be desirable.
The Freiburg trio for €24 also failed to meet our expectations. The combination seemed rather average overall and lacked any distinctive flavors. We were particularly puzzled by the quark: it appeared to have been sitting in the glass for quite some time, which compromised the freshness and quality of the dish.
Conclusion: Both dishes are priced in a range where we expect significantly higher craftsmanship and culinary quality. Unfortunately, both the ox brisket and the Freiburg trio lacked the special touches that would justify a restaurant visit in this price range. Our experience thus stands in stark contrast to the predominantly very positive reviews.
We regularly have tea and some treats there. It's a shame that smokers spoil it for others with their nasty tobacco smoke. Fortunately, some people realize that too. The pastries are tasty, the service is correct, and you have a beautiful view of the Dom.
We were there around coffee time. The waiter didn't know which cakes were on offer and couldn't describe them properly (Russian crumb cake was called [something else]). However, they tasted very good.
