Fitness room, massages, three saunas, a 10x5 meter pool, and far away from any big city hustle and bustle. ### I Ger in the last week · 4.0/5 A very nice little country hotel. I spent a few days with my girlfriend and her family in the apartment. Unfortunately, it was so hot at that time that air conditioning would have been welcome. The room on the ground floor was very nice, with a shower. The kitchen was a bit small, though it should have been able to cook for six people. The upper floor, with its combined living and sleeping area, was very nice, but unfortunately, the sloping ceilings made it difficult to open the windows properly. The last room was very narrow, and the windows were just okay. Suitable for children, less so for adults. The breakfast service at the hotel was excellent. Mr. Bernardy and his colleagues at reception were very accommodating. The indoor pool with sauna and the garden sunbathing area were very relaxing. I would gladly come back. ### Christian Prinz a week ago · 3.0/5 Very nice location, otherwise mediocre! What I liked: The hotel's biggest advantage is its location, about a 10-minute taxi ride from Leverkusen, surrounded by greenery in a beautiful landscape perfect for hiking, cycling, and tennis (the tennis club is within walking distance). What I didn't like: The hotel dates back to the 1970s with a few renovations in the 1990s. Currently, they're running a superficially attractive makeover program with a few rock 'n' roll touches from different music eras, but unfortunately, it mostly has cheap laminate flooring and furniture reminiscent of a discount store. We paid an inflated "trade fair price" for our double room, a whopping €240 per night, with breakfast an extra €14 per person. For this price, we were initially put in a musty room overlooking a light well with a kitchen exhaust fan. Only after asking did they initially stonewall us (claiming they were full), but then they graciously found us a room with at least a view of the countryside. The bathroom was only superficially clean; unfortunately, the corners and grout were covered in years of accumulated grime. The breakfast room was a tiny, cluttered space overlooking the parking lot, but the buffet was acceptable. Even at the "normal rate" of €140, the price would still be far from reasonable, though at least it would be better. According to reception, the advertised "free bicycles for guests" haven't been available "for years" (Really???). To its credit, Leverkusen clearly has a serious hotel problem, as there are no truly acceptable offers on Booking.com, even outside of trade fair periods. From that perspective, this country hotel might have its place, but the city definitely lacks competition. In other German cities, something like this could easily survive for under €100 per room per night.
