Mercure Hotel Freiburg Am Muenster

One extra star only for the location. Otherwise: the room was very dirty and dusty upon arrival. There was hair everywhere, and the shower drain was clogged. No improvement after complaining. The reception staff were listless and lethargic. Zero value for money!

Good hotel, good breakfast

We stayed there for a two-day city break. The hotel is quite dated and looks neglected. The air conditioning didn't really work, and we could hardly sleep at night. Breakfast was good. I wouldn't book this hotel again.

Our stay lasted two days. The room was okay, though a bit cramped. It also wasn't very clean: the soap and shampoo in the shower were completely empty, and one of the towels was torn. Overall, it seemed like housekeeping wasn't very thorough. The reception staff, on the other hand, were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and offered vegan options. However, there was no margarine (only butter), and cappuccino with plant-based milk wasn't available either. Surprisingly, there was no salmon at the buffet. Aside from that, the staff were generally nice and accommodating.
