Linz Central Station is the city’s main rail hub, offering a clean, well-managed starting point for journeys across Austria and beyond. Located in the heart of Linz, the station connects travelers with important European routes, including services toward Germany and Switzerland. Whether you are catching a local train, changing for an international journey, or arriving in the city, the central location makes onward travel straightforward.
Travelers can use on-site ticket machines and service counters to plan and manage their trips, while the station’s train connections make it a practical choice for both daily commuters and long-distance passengers. A first-class lounge is available for eligible travelers, providing a quieter place to wait before departure. For general waiting, the downstairs area is often more comfortable than the platforms, particularly during colder weather. It is worth heading to the platform a few minutes before the scheduled departure.
The station also makes connections within the city simple, with direct access to tram connections and other local transport. A useful selection of shops, food options, and places to grab a quick bite means passengers can pick up refreshments without leaving the building. From ticketing and transfers to everyday travel essentials, Linz Central Station brings together the services needed for a smooth journey through Upper Austria. Its combination of practical facilities, broad rail links, and convenient city transport makes it a reliable arrival and departure point for visitors and residents alike.

in the last weekWien Linz, dort Umstieg mit Rad nach Passau. 1h 48min gewartet. Sehr unglücklich alles.
