in the last weekWe went to see the Washington Spirit play against Denver on July 26th. We were really impressed with how everything went. I have been battling cancer and growing up I played soccer. I continued playing soccer as an adult and helped coach my children's teams as well. My love for the game will always be there and coming to this field and watching the women play, it made my heart so happy! For the longest time, I felt like my old self again. I shed many happy tears being here. Simone, she works at guest services and she is truly an angel. She went above and beyond for myself and my family that evening. I had been done with chemo just a couple of months ago before we went to the game. I was still weak, fatigued, and my husband worried about all of the steps I would have to walk on and how far the bathrooms would be, etc. Simone went above and beyond and she offered us some seats on ground level. She was so kind, so patient, and treated us like family. We asked to have a picture taken with her, so that we could always remember her and cherish that evening. We live so far away from this place, but we hope to be back again in the near future! Thank you to the people at guest services and Simone. You all are appreciated and thank you for making that night a night to remember forever! ❤️
