August 2026 A truly cozy and comfortable overnight stay in Munich, right next to a classic beer garden!! ☆☆☆☆☆ for the attentive service from the hosts, who were very dedicated and helpful. (I had a bicycle key sent to me, which arrived in my room as quickly as possible thanks to digital communication!) ☆☆☆☆(☆) for the accommodation, which looks and feels incredibly cozy. ☆☆☆☆ for the accommodation, which looks and feels incredibly cozy. Surrounded by greenery with excellent bike path connections to Munich (approx. 20 to 25 minutes by e-bike on superb bike paths!) BONUS: A good gluten-free breakfast is offered (but always keep an eye on the details!) - Great restaurant area with very good food - Great beer garden - Very friendly and excellent caretaker with great tips Minor drawbacks: - The room was adjacent to a special section of the courtyard, which was also used for special parties – but these always ended at 10:00 pm. - Mattresses a bit too soft (unfortunately, I had a stiff back every morning) - One of the waitresses smiled more inwardly (but technically everything was done perfectly!); all the others (!) always greeted me with a smile ☆☆☆☆☆ for the ambiance; Modern, stylish ambiance in a beautifully renovated old building ;) If I ever stay overnight in Munich again, I'd definitely stay here again :)

I did quite a bit of research to find the most optimal place to stay in Munich or its surroundings, and if you are a family driving through Bavaria, look no further. With a fully automated reception, you don’t pay extra for unnecessary services, while still getting an absolutely new, beautifully designed room in a freshly renovated hotel. The fantastic breakfast was probably one of the best I have ever had in a hotel. Moreover, a huge beer garden and a great restaurant give you plenty of options for dinner. The estate is located in a very beautiful and green area on the high bank of the Isar River, so you can also enjoy a pleasant walk.

Beautiful, quiet hotel next to the Menterschwaige beer garden. Cozy, Nordic-style rooms in a historic inn. Directly on the high banks of the Isar River, perfect for walks.

Excellent hotel in a green setting – Gutshotel Menterschwaige We have booked this hotel several times in recent weeks. If you don't necessarily need to stay in the city center and appreciate a well-organized hotel with good food in a natural setting near the city, this is the place for you. Rooms: Spacious and modern. The beds are comfortable, though perhaps a little firm for some. Parking: Parking and electric vehicle charging stations are available; if the parking lot is full, there is ample street parking. Digital check-in: The digital reception is located on the left side of the lobby. Completing the online pre-check-in in advance saves time. Don't zoom in too much on the QR code when scanning it with your phone. Arrival after 11 p.m.: The keypad for the entrance is located to the right of the main entrance. The path from the parking lot to the hotel is not lit late at night, so a small flashlight is advisable. Concierge service: Professionally organized. We received a friendly response to our questions via the WhatsApp concierge, even late at night. Dining: Breakfast is definitely worth booking. Options like the "Catch of the Morning" or the fitness breakfast will keep you full for a long time, and there are various coffee specialties; all with consistently friendly service. Weather permitting, you can enjoy breakfast in the beer garden. It's lovely sitting there under the trees . Location & Surroundings: Directly on the high banks of the Isar River. There are separate bike paths heading south and towards Munich, as well as running trails with several steep access points down to the Isar (great for HIIT training). All directly accessible from the hotel. It takes about 30 minutes to reach the city center by car or bicycle.
