a week agoWho are they kidding? I don't even have the words to describe the place, because yes, it's a place, not a guesthouse. You ring a doorbell and wait without an answer, you ring again, and finally, a young woman, barefoot, comes to open the door. You check in with someone who seems completely clueless. Then comes the tour of the place, and you wonder where you've ended up. A kind of messy, unkempt guesthouse. People who seem to be family in a garden and a "pool" that looks like a dirty paddling pool full of leaves and other debris. You wonder what you're doing there. We're finally led to a room without a bathroom or toilet. One of the small beds was actually a cot where my son must have slept, with holes and dents in it. Then they explain that the bathrooms are elsewhere…! A glass door in the hallway, and there! Several sinks, several toilets, several showers without doors! Yes, just like at a campsite or in a gym shower room! The showers were filthy! Full of mold! Shame on you! And you want me to believe that all the reviews are genuine?! I've stayed in a bed and breakfast before, and my god, I would have been ashamed to offer a room and bathroom in that state. The photos speak for themselves. You need to improve your cleanliness. Fortunately, after a more or less good night for us and a very bad one for my son, the breakfasts were plentiful and good.

a month agoA private event near the church prompted us to look for accommodation. The beds were very comfortable, and the house, with parts dating back to 1600, was superbly renovated – an excellent example of how something old can be wonderfully adapted to modern travel needs! The ambiance in the house, with local art objects, a charming garden with flair and shady spots, was wonderful. A welcome bag with travel suggestions and earplugs (the wind whistling around the house at night wasn't bothersome) – everything was thoughtful! Thank you!! Breakfast was perfectly arranged from 7 am: fresh rolls, muesli, and delicious coffee – fantastic! The daughter of the house was very charming and already impressed us as a hostess when showing us to our room – this combination made it worthwhile. If we plan another visit to the area, we will gladly stay again! Highly recommended!

2 months agoIt's a place of power. The guesthouse is a four-sided farmstead dating back to 1688 and is run by young people. They make an effort to create a welcoming atmosphere, for example, through workshops. The location is pleasantly quiet, and the breakfast room on the first floor offers a beautiful view of the Rhine. In the courtyard, there's a small petting zoo with rabbits, fish, ducks, a parrot, and, as a highlight, a golden pheasant. Our small room was located a bit further away in an outbuilding on the first floor. As retirees, we would have appreciated it if one of the staff members had helped us carry our luggage up the somewhat worn stairs.
