A very stylishly decorated restaurant. Visually, it's a real treat. Despite staff shortages, they kindly welcomed us, and the service was good, but not outstanding. I deliberately didn't mention the slightly longer wait times. This was communicated from the start and is perfectly understandable. The food is enjoyable, but not particularly special. However, I think that's hardly surprising given the restaurant's focus on catering to a broad audience. My fish in beurre blanc was still very tasty, and the fries weren't anything special either. The reason I'm just shy of giving it 5 stars is that, considering the rather small portion sizes, the restaurant operates in a price range where I expect a bit more from the food. I will definitely be back, though :).

We went to the so-called dinner club and were very satisfied. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Thanks to Jan, our waiter, who was very attentive and empathetic. We will definitely come back again and highly recommend the offer (€59 for 4 courses including a cocktail)!

This was our second visit to Brunfels, and once again we were absolutely impressed by the cuisine. From the appetizer (leek soup, see photo) to the dessert, everything they conjure up on the plates is top-notch in terms of quality, presentation, variety of flavors, and origin. However, you should expect to pay around €100 per person for a three-course meal with drinks. The service, however, doesn't live up to the high price and quality standards. In fact, we have to deduct a star for this: The service is friendly and attentive, but, as on our last visit, there were errors when it came to serving the food. Either entire dishes were missing (with dessert), or they were placed in front of the wrong person (a total of three times – surely they could have simply asked the guests), or side dishes or salads were missing (also three times), or special requests to the kitchen were ignored. Even after we asked to pay, it took far too long. Although we sat for a long time waiting for the printed bill, empty glasses were only cleared from other tables first. One would assume that if a guest wants to pay, they also want to leave. By the way, restaurant guests can park for free in the hotel parking garage (see website).

To get a personal impression of the restaurant after reading numerous positive reviews, I went there on a Saturday afternoon – before planning a larger birthday party. Inside, two tables were occupied, but outside, where I sat, there was initially no one else – except me. A group of four who arrived a little later were promptly served alcoholic drinks. Since no one took pity on me, I had to wave and call out. Waitress H. slowly approached and robotically took my order for a cappuccino. While waiting for my hot drink, I had the pleasure of inhaling the fumes from the ashtray on my table. Shortly afterward, the waitress placed the cup on the table; you couldn't call that serving. It was immediately noticeable that there was NO small cake on the saucer, neither pre-packaged nor homemade, as one might expect in such an establishment. I searched in vain for sugar; the employee, Ms. H., hadn't asked me if I needed it, and I couldn't express my wishes since no one ever came into the courtyard to ask what I wanted. Finally, I went to the restaurant's cash register to pay and shared my impressions with Ms. H., who remained completely unmoved. Her colleague, M., at reception, didn't have much to offer in a professional or accommodating manner either. However, she felt compelled to tell me that Ms. H. was usually very nice. Which is why I ultimately decided to write this review. Oh yes, we will not be visiting this restaurant again, either privately or for business.
