La locanda del tempio is a warm and welcoming Italian restaurant in the center of Rome, known for fresh pasta, crispy pizza, and the kind of friendly service that makes first-time visitors feel like regulars. Just a short stroll from some of the city’s most iconic sights, it’s a smart choice when you want a relaxed meal without leaving the historic core. Diners love the homemade feel of the menu, especially the fresh pasta, creamy carbonara with truffle, meatballs in tomato sauce, and perfectly crisp pizza. Many also mention the generous portions and the house wine, which pairs well with a long, easygoing dinner. The atmosphere is casual and lively, with outdoor seating that’s ideal for people-watching and soaking in the Roman evening. Staff are frequently described as attentive, helpful, and happy to guide guests through the menu, even when language barriers come up. Whether you’re stopping in after sightseeing or settling in for a full meal, La locanda del tempio delivers the kind of honest, flavorful Italian cuisine that keeps people coming back.

in the last weekGreat atmosphere, food and staff. The reviews speak for themselves as the food is great and tasty. They also have the review level to let the standards dip but they don't. To give you an idea on how friendly the staff are the guy who served us recognised us a few hours later and joked with us on getting us back in for more food.
