We spontaneously decided to dine at Bundesbüdchen on a Saturday evening and were able to easily reserve a table – after this experience, we honestly can't understand why the restaurant wasn't fully booked.
We ordered the chef's menu, and the food was absolutely fantastic. The fish and meat were of excellent quality, each course perfectly balanced and subtly seasoned – in our opinion, it was on par with a Michelin-starred restaurant. We also particularly appreciated the flexibility: since we didn't want dessert, we were able to easily swap it for the ravioli with shellfish bisque, which was also superb.
The wine recommendations were exceptionally good and intriguing. Although we initially hesitated to order the wine pairing, we ended up ordering three glasses – and they even kindly charged us the less expensive pairing instead of the individual wines.
The service was attentive, warm, and competent without ever being intrusive. I'm quite discerning when it comes to fine dining, but everything here was just right: product quality, cuisine, wine, service, and value for money. For us, it's a definite 12/10. We will definitely come back!
The two of us went there on Saturday evening and ordered one set menu (char, lamb, Black Forest cherry cake) and one à la carte dish (chanterelle soup, venison with mushrooms). We also had red wine and a non-alcoholic cocktail. The food was consistently very good, exactly as expected: aromatically well-balanced, expertly prepared, and all the ingredients cooked to perfection. The selection of wines by the glass was skillful, and the service was exceptionally good and knowledgeable about the wines. Very good value for money for Berlin (55 EUR for the three-course dinner, espresso 2.50 EUR). We had a wonderful evening and will definitely go back. Thank you to the friendly team!
