An evening for two, table reserved in advance, exceptionally friendly service, the food simply exquisite, fantastic flavors, and to finish, a tiramisu that was second to none. A 100% recommendation. Dr. Stefan Katzmann
Based on the reviews, I had much higher expectations. The antipasti platter was good, and so was the dessert. However, the dessert would have been even better if my double espresso had actually arrived. After the panna cotta, though, I didn't feel like asking for it and wouldn't have ordered it anyway.
I was most disappointed by the main course: ragout of beef shank with pasta and Parmesan flakes. The shank barely touched my plate. Two tiny pieces of meat, about the size of my fingernail. I cook with very little salt myself, but the pasta water I used had (almost) never been salted. The Parmesan flakes turned out to be just grated Parmesan, the kind you get from a standard shaker.
I won't be eating there again for the foreseeable future.
The table service, however, was very good, and the staff were very friendly.
The ambiance and furnishings are high-quality and create a great atmosphere. But unfortunately, that alone is not enough.
