My husband had wanted to make a reservation there, and it turned out that after two days we still hadn't received a reply as to whether this was possible. Therefore, we chose a different restaurant.
We went to the restaurant for a birthday celebration. To be perfectly honest, the food was good, but not of sufficient quality for the price. As a "neutralizer" between courses, there was a strawberry sorbet (very delicious), but then a silver Sierra Tequila was simply poured over it at the table. We found that quite odd, to be served the cheapest tequila imaginable. I also expect to be asked if I even want alcohol. I said "no, please not at my table," when the bottle was practically already at my cup, and received a somewhat irritated look from the waiter.
Naturally, it was awful. That had nothing to do with haute cuisine.
The dessert was rather underwhelming: the ice cream unfortunately tasted like cheap, mass-produced ice cream, and was generally far too sweet.
The main course of the menu, which included meat, was good, but the vegetarian option consisted of a few gyozas that were very tasteless and rather doughy. The wild garlic soup in the vegetarian menu was absolutely divine!
In summary: anyone who has dined at upscale restaurants before will quickly notice that while the food is good, the prices are not justified. The presentation was fine.
In our opinion, a menu price of around €60-70 would be fair, instead of over €100. For that price, I could almost go to a one-Michelin-starred restaurant.
At a restaurant in this price range with "fine dining"/"haute cuisine" in its name, we would have appreciated some wine recommendations. A sommelier should simply be part of the service.
