Bellpepper Restaurant & Terrasse

What was once an excellent restaurant has unfortunately become something that disappoints all too often. A questionable combination. The former balancing act between small, delicious, and delicately presented appetizers and the best steakhouse in town, featuring a superb 450g entrecote, is gone. Although the meat now comes from Germany, the slices have become far too thin due to the weight being reduced over the years. Furthermore, it's poorly cooked and tough, and the doneness is off. We were a party of four, and three out of seven dishes went back. The service was slow and inattentive. At least they were accommodating with the bill, offering a complimentary shot of schnapps and a portafilter espresso (after we pointed it out and asked for it; otherwise, at Bellpepper, it comes from a machine). Six years ago, this was my go-to restaurant, but the return of Sven Ole Hastreiter hasn't brought any improvement...

Wir waren heute Abend mit drei Erwachsenen und zwei Kindern im Bellpepper und hatten einen rundum perfekten Abend! Das Essen war hervorragend mit viel Liebe zum Detail angerichtet und geschmacklich einfach ausgezeichnet. Auch der Service war erstklassig, aufmerksam, herzlich und professionell, ohne dabei aufdringlich zu sein. Besonders schön fanden wir, dass auch unsere Kinder sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend behandelt wurden. Das stilvolle Ambiente und die wunderschöne Lage direkt am Rhein machen den Besuch zu etwas ganz Besonderem. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und können das Bellpepper uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen! Ganz lieben Dank an die Dame im Anzug, die uns heute so nett bedient hat.

We had breakfast here as non-hotel guests. There was a lovely, large buffet. The staff was very friendly and attentive. There were wasps outside when we were there, so we sat inside. Nevertheless, we had a nice view and a great breakfast.
