Canoe is one of those rare fine dining restaurants in Toronto that feels as special as its reputation suggests. Perched high above the city on the 54th floor, it offers a dramatic dining backdrop that elevates everything on the table. Guests come here for celebrations, anniversaries, and unforgettable evenings, and the experience often begins with the atmosphere alone: elegant, refined, and designed to make the city feel like part of the meal.
The menu is known for beautifully prepared plates that highlight Canadian ingredients with a polished, contemporary touch. Diners often rave about the scallops, halibut, lamb, veal tartare, and desserts that finish the meal on a graceful note. The service is consistently described as knowledgeable and professional, with staff who explain dishes clearly and help create a sense of occasion. Whether it’s a signature cocktail, a thoughtfully plated entrée, or a classic dessert, every part of the experience feels intentional. For visitors and locals alike, Canoe remains a top choice for a luxury restaurant in Toronto where the view, the service, and the food all work together beautifully.

in the last weekWe just left Canoe and we had to leave a review. It was one of the best, if not the best dining experiences we've ever had. We celebrated our wedding anniversary tonight and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. Our server Stephen (Steven?) was absolutely phenomenal. He was so friendly, so attentive and funny and lighthearted. We felt comfortable and welcome right away. The view is spectacular, the food was delicious and the staff went out of their way to wish us a happy anniversary. We will 10000% be back. Thank you again Stephen (Steven?) for making our night so special :) ❤️

in the last weekBrought my good friend for her 80th birthday and we had the tasting menu. I had wanted to come since watching Master Chef Canada and being so impressed with Chef Bonacini. We had such a good time, were treated so well and immensely enjoyed our food. Shout out for the halibut, tenderloin and amazing Rhubarb dish but we enjoyed everything ! Every now and then you have to treat yourself - and this is a fine way to do that. Gorgeous views too!

in the last weekDisappointing. I choose Canoe for my birthday dinner. I was excited to visit this place. Food was good, but not great. The staff didn’t ask as how well done we want our steak. Didn’t ask if we want ice in our water. If you position yourself as Michelin recommended act like it. Lamb had spots I wasn’t able to even chew. The staff knew about my birthday and when it came for a dessert they brought the cake we ordered with a small sign “Happy Birthday” and that’s it. Never anywhere in my life I DID NOT GET anything complimentary for my birthday, nor even a candle, not even any extra attention from staff. I left feeling like I’d be treated better ANYWHERE but not there. When we were done with food they made us wait forever to get the bill. I would not be back.
