It's shameful how you sometimes treat your season ticket holders. I don't consider your returns policy normal or fair, especially when it applies to loyal customers who have been supporting the club and shopping at your store for years.
It makes no sense that someone should receive a gift with great excitement, want to try on a different size to see which one fits best, and then, due to circumstances completely beyond their control—like a current season's shirt being sold out at this point—be told they have to keep an item they can't use or exchange it for something they neither want nor need.
If the problem is a lack of stock, the least you could do is extend the return or exchange period until there's a real possibility of getting the right size. The responsibility for the lack of stock doesn't lie with the customer, so it's unfair that they should have to bear the consequences.
These kinds of situations generate enormous frustration and ultimately tarnish the enthusiasm of those who support the club and buy its products. It's a shame that an experience that should be positive ends up becoming a disappointment due to such an inflexible policy that is so far removed from the attention that fans and season ticket holders deserve.
