in the last weekWe stayed at this hotel for 7 nights. The first thing I noticed upon arrival was an unpleasant odor in the lobby. Although you eventually get used to it, it didn't create a good first impression. The first room we were given was very small and faced the street. It was extremely noisy, and we could hear loud music from the neighboring bar until around 3:00 a.m.. After we requested a room change, the staff moved us to a larger room, which we appreciated. However, the new room overlooked the emergency exit, the bathroom had no exhaust fan, and there was no insect screen on the window, making it difficult to keep the window open. The most concerning part of our stay was one night when someone was screaming for help, running up and down the emergency stairs, and punching the walls in the middle of the night. It was terrifying. My daughter woke up frightened and shaking. I immediately called the front desk to report the incident. It appeared that someone had become trapped in the emergency stairwell. It was another horrible night, and we did not feel safe.

a week agoNice place, nice location. However there's a club next door that you can clearly hear thumping through the walls until 2 am, if not later on the weekend.

a week agoSpacious, spotless room in an excellent location IThe reception staff were warm and helpful from the moment I arrived, offering useful suggestions for my stay. The room itself was large, very clean and had plenty of space. The location was excellent for Granville Street, Davie Village and Granville Island, with easy access to train and bus links. The main downside was the shower, which had very weak water pressure. As a Brit, I also found the room’s air-conditioning unit very loud, although thankfully it could be turned off.
