Minami Toronto offers a refined Japanese restaurant experience in Toronto, combining sleek design, artistic plating, and flavours that keep diners coming back. Located on King Street West, it’s an especially popular choice for date nights, happy hour, and special dinners where the setting matters just as much as the menu. The space feels modern and inviting, with a bar area that adds to the polished downtown vibe.
Guests often highlight the balance and presentation of the food, from truffle dashi pork gyoza and chicken nanban to thinly battered calamari and soy-marinated grilled tofu. The sushi is a frequent favourite too, especially for its freshness and clean flavour. For those looking to explore more, tasting menus offer a memorable progression of dishes that showcase the kitchen’s range, including wagyu and beautifully prepared seafood. Service is fast, the room is spotless, and the overall experience feels carefully put together from start to finish. If you’re searching for a stylish place for Japanese dining downtown, Minami Toronto delivers a thoughtful mix of atmosphere, presentation, and craveable dishes in one of the city’s busiest dining districts.

a week agoThe place isn’t busy. They had enough servers for who was there. Our server didn’t check in with us at all. We had food allergies at our table and they kept bringing the wrong food. Wouldn’t go back. The food allergy ppl 1 of them was well last night so we are hoping nothing was eaten that could have had the items they were allergic to. Better places out there! When paying the server was over my shoulder which made me uncomfortable. I was paying in cash. I don’t like when they do this! Other better places out there

2 weeks agoThis place used to be so good. Not anymore...bang average food with wait staff that don't really care about the customer experience. The tasting menu, don't bother! White wine served warm because the fridges were broken?! Overcooked lobster that was so dry it came out the shell like string. Wagyu beef with zero flavour And pre blow torched sushi. Won't be back!
