Corso Augsburg

Last night, six of us went to Corso and sat down at a table inside. When we arrived, the interior was practically empty – apart from us, there were only a few people at another table. There were some guests on the terrace, but it definitely wasn't busy inside at that time. Despite this, no waiter came to our table to even take our order within the first 30 minutes. After about half an hour, a friend of ours even waved to the waiter. He saw us and reacted accordingly, so we assumed he would come to us. Unfortunately, nothing happened. We waited another 20 minutes or so. What was particularly annoying was that more and more guests came inside while we waited. We could see the waiter going to guests who had arrived much later than us, taking their orders, and bringing them drinks and cocktails. When we finally got up and tried to leave after almost 50 minutes, guests who had arrived about half an hour after us already had their drinks on the table – while our order hadn't even been taken. Only when we got up and were about to leave did we receive an apology, with the explanation that things were a bit "stressful." I can understand that in principle when a restaurant is full and all guests have to wait. But that doesn't explain why guests who arrived long after us were already being served, while the six of us were completely ignored for almost 50 minutes – even though the waiter had seen us and knew we were waiting. There were six of us, and we all witnessed the entire ordeal. After waiting for almost an hour without even being able to place an order, we finally left and found another restaurant. I've rarely experienced anything like this. I really can't give this service more than one star.

The staff was very friendly, and the guests seemed to be regulars (they knew each other). Breakfast was okay, but nothing special (baked bread rolls, pre-packaged ham and cheese).
