in the last weekUpon arrival at the Marriott Milan on 31 July 2026, my partner and I were greeted by a female receptionist who was extremely rude and unprofessional in her manner. She was approximately 5'9" tall, with blonde hair and transparent-framed glasses. After completing the check-in process, we discussed a room upgrade, which was handled without issue. However, once this conversation had concluded, the receptionist abruptly threw our two room key cards onto the desk rather than handing them to us. She did not make eye contact, offer any welcoming information, or show even a basic level of courtesy. As no directions to our room had been provided, we politely asked which way we needed to go. In response, the receptionist rolled her eyes and said, "I told you, lady, to the right." This comment was particularly surprising and inappropriate, as she had never spoken to my partner at any point during the check-in process. Unfortunately, this poor treatment did not end there. Throughout our stay, whenever we entered or left the hotel, the same receptionist would make comments in Italian to her colleagues while looking in our direction. Her colleagues would then stare at us as we passed through reception. While we cannot be certain what was being said, the behaviour felt deliberately hostile and made us feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, and self-conscious whenever we entered the hotel. What should have been a relaxing and enjoyable stay was negatively impacted by this repeated behaviour. Rather than feeling welcomed as guests, we felt uneasy, unsettled, and on edge every time we returned to the hotel. We found this level of customer service completely unacceptable and far below the standards we would expect from a Marriott property.

in the last weekMy room didn't get as cold as I liked. The air-conditioning system is weak. Also it appears that the hotel staff does not answer the reception or the hospitality phone lines late at night. This happened to me on three seperate occasions when I tried to call them from my room. Otherwise, the staff is friendly and the hotel is currently undergoing some remodeling. Great location.
