a week agoStrong smell of mould ! This hotel is outdated dirty cheap looking. We have stayed here 3 nights and last night we have stayed in the old part of the hotel (btw the whole place looks old and un-maintained dirty walls and carpets , old beds and bedding etc.) The first 2 nights were just ok , I was willing to overlook the fact that this hotel shouldn’t even dream about 5 stars and the person that gave them a Michelin recommendation should be beaten with sticks because I guarantee you that this was payed for recommendations and not deserved. How could they get a Michelin key just last year ? Even the “new” part of the hotel had old furniture - and I don’t mean the “victorian style” of the furniture with which they have tried to make the decore look upscale or “old money” (as I read in some description) but really it’s the furniture that your grandmother doesn’t want to throw away ( not quality ). The beds , mattress and linens old worn and of cheaper 3 stars hotels characteristic. The main problem is they don’t maintain the place, the carpet in front of the room had giant brown stains on it , the walls are beaten up and dirty and generally 20 years too old equipment. Air conditioning - smells of extremely strong mould absolutely disgusting. Parking - god forbid if you have an expensive and or bigger car the underground parking isn’t equipped for it. If you are worried about dings and scratches then this isn’t the place for you! The entrance is extremely tightly as well as the parking spaces where the cars almost touch each other for €35 a night you can get a €1500 repair bill on your pride and joy. So in summary the 5 starts is really 2 stars you get for €500 a night + €45 (each) breakfast + €35 parking/ night Never coming back here Don’t be like me go spend extra 300 and go to rosewood hotel P.s. when I told them about the mold their response was - pay additional €500 for a better room 👍 well thx for the experience (sarcasm)
