in the last weekI really enjoyed the pool and the poolside bar and that is why this is getting 2 stars and not 1, but that’s where it ends. The most important part is the dishonest advertising- and thus pricing- of the rooms. I’ve included pictures of our “city view” room that we paid extra for and came complete with windows that you literally cannot see out of, can’t make this up. We had one- one- working outlet in the entire room. As we were getting ready for a wedding we had to swap between chargers, hair dryers, steamers, you name it all on one outlet. We weren’t the only ones (at all) in our group with the issue, so I can tell you that it is consistent throughout the hotel. The room was also small with poorly working air conditioning. It reminded me of a European hotel in the absolute worst way possible. Parking is also egregiously expensive but you can save money by just using LAACs parking structure; which is just a better hotel option in general to be honest. So, to review: They do not having working power outlets in their $400/night rooms. They do not have windows you can see out of in their “city view” rooms. The air conditioning is horrendous and doesn’t actually work with the thermostat in the room. None of this is exaggerated. Check my other reviews, I’m pretty nice. This is a $200/night hotel with a pool on top so they charge double. Save your money.

a week agoWhat a discovery. It was a true gem to find such a charming hotel in the heart of Los Angeles. This hotel is immensely refined, refusing to be swept up in the current trend toward minimalism. It's a place with an attractive, radiant personality, one that welcomes you with a warmth as striking as the California sun itself. The interior design reveals meticulous craftsmanship carried out well in advance: the choice of colors on the doors, the handles, the mirrors, the sink, the lighting, the shower and its fixtures, showerhead, faucets, handles, all come together in a perfectly balanced harmony, carried by a golden palette. That choice of color, to me, evokes the elegance, purity, and luxury this hotel aims to convey to its guests. I genuinely appreciated the space, well above the usual standard. The staff, particularly at the front desk, were warm and welcoming, each bringing an endearing personality to the experience.
