Restaurante La Viña De Henao Casa De Comidas is a charming restaurant in Bilbao that stands out for its intimate setting, refined cooking, and genuinely welcoming service. Tucked away in Abando, this small dining room feels like a place built for people who appreciate carefully prepared food and a relaxed pace. Guests frequently mention the quality of the kitchen, from traditional dishes like callos and croquettes to beautifully cooked meats, fresh salads, and desserts that leave a strong impression. The seasonal cuisine here is especially appealing, with dishes that feel thoughtful, balanced, and full of local character. Many visitors recommend booking ahead, which is a good sign of how sought-after the table is. The wine list is also well chosen, adding to the sense that everything here is designed to complement the meal rather than distract from it. Service is another highlight: warm, attentive, and never overbearing. For anyone looking for a memorable meal that feels personal and high quality, Restaurante La Viña De Henao Casa De Comidas is a lovely choice. It’s ideal for a special dinner, a quiet celebration, or simply a night out at one of the more respected Basque restaurants in the city.

a week agoA wonderful gastronomic experience. You can tell the care they put into seeking out the quality of the product. These days, it's rare for food to actually taste like food, and sadly, it's unusual for tomatoes to taste like tomatoes and meat to taste like meat. The work behind it is evident: meticulous, unpretentious, and with attention to detail. The cured beef croquettes they offered us as an appetizer already hinted at what was to come. We ordered cured beef, tomato salad, sirloin steak, and meatballs (the latter being our favorites), finishing with dessert: the best flan I've ever tasted: creamy, smooth, with a delicate flavor. It's a family business, run by a couple; this allows for personalized service, and in a globalized world where the priority is quick service, it's appreciated that they stay with you to explain what you're eating. I can only say thank you to these two people who champion gastronomy every single day.

a week agoMy husband and I ate there on a Saturday and it was a real discovery! I loved both the potato salad and the octopus we ordered to share. For our main course, we ordered meto and it had a completely different flavor. For dessert, the three-cheese flan was another great choice. We'll definitely be back; we absolutely loved it! Keep up the good work!
