in the last weekI like Marriot hotels, but they seriously need to rethink simple things like 2 bottles of decent water in the room each day. Instead on this visit you now get one 600ml glass bottle (between 2 people) and are told to refill it with filtered water on other levels of the hotel floors…. convenient. And then when you try, the machines don’t handle the bottles (as they are clearly designed for smaller bottles) and in the end you just give up and buy plastic bottles from reception downstairs….. probably the plan all along. Rather than hiding such a change under the guise of being eco friendly, how about you buy enough glass bottles for each room and get them refilled daily with filtered water onsite. You would still achieve your so called eco friendly guidelines and not annoy paying customers over such a simple thing. I would expect this at a Premier Inn, but not a Marriott who has had so much of my business over the past years. The only person appreciating such so called eco friendly changes will be my Hilton Honors card.
