in the last weekI visited from Japan on a trip. I stayed for 6 days. My room was on the 6th floor. The hotel was comfortable, with a continental breakfast (light meal) included. You can bring your own food if you want more. There was a Trader Joe's about a 10-minute walk from the hotel, which was convenient for shopping. The hotel, which is about 100 years old, retains a retro atmosphere in various places, making for a very relaxing stay. Using the birdcage-style elevator was a unique experience. As others have mentioned in their reviews, there was a distinctive smell, but it was within my tolerance level. (Like the smell you get when you visit someone's home.) I was able to spend a wonderful 6 days with peace of mind. Thank you. Amenities included shampoo, conditioner, body soap, soap, towels (3 sizes), hairdryer (2-speed hot air setting), iron, refrigerator, microwave, and a small kitchen sink.
