STAY AWAY, if you expect top, clean standard. We ordered the hotel through Booking.com and thought the place was going to be like the pictures, giving us affordable, clean and nice accommodation in central San Francisco. The room we got was in the back of the hotel, with a small bed and view to some kind of back-alley. The shared toilet and bathroom was laid out such that you had to step over the toilet to reach the shower. We exited the hotel straight away and booked something else. Asking the receptionist at the day to speak to the manager, who was clearly chatting with him/her, but that would not bother speak to us (the reception was at another hotel down the street). If this is your thing, no one should stop you. But the hotel does not look like the pictures. We have therefore requested our money refunded as it was not the same standard and the advertised pictures was misleading, awaiting reply from the hotel manager.

Charming spot in San Francisco, complete with a lobby cat! Enjoyed the vintage charm, the elevator, and the fire escape outside the room. Did book a room with the bathroom included to avoid shared - previous reviews mention this. Clean amenities, did have to check in at the sister location for after staffed hours. Easy process, would stay again.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We booked this trip to this hotel back in June. While attending a family celebration. We were told that the rooms would be adjoining which they were not. We were told that there would be a bathroom connecting the rooms which there was not. In fact, there was a shared bathroom out in the hallway like a hostel. There was a cat on premises which I'm allergic to cats. Overall, we're all on a family vacation with an outstanding. This hotel did not deliver in any way shape or form. The cable in our rooms did not even work while we stayed there for the four nights. So again, I would highly recommend not not staying at this hotel for anyone who was from out of state

This is an unusual hotel! It starts in the lobby and continues from the elevator to the room. There's no air conditioning in the room, but a ceiling fan is more than adequate. The room and bathroom are small. Everything works, and the bedding is comfortable. Despite its central location with plenty of foot traffic, there's no problem with street noise. Breakfast is served in the basement of another hotel just 20 meters below. There are no pancakes, but it's perfectly acceptable. The staff is friendly and welcoming. In short, a very good hotel with all the amenities you need for a pleasant stay in San Francisco.
