in the last weekWe had a very enjoyable stay at RIU Plaza Fisherman’s Wharf. The location is excellent, especially for exploring the waterfront, Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf, and the surrounding area on foot. The hotel was comfortable, well organized, and a great base for our few days in San Francisco. We also appreciated the convenient location for getting around the city and returning to the hotel after a full day of sightseeing. Also, breakfast was great. Overall, we had a very positive experience and would happily stay here again when visiting San Francisco.

in the last weekWe stayed at the Riu Plaza Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco for about 4 nights and 3 days. Overall, the hotel was clean, and our room was clean and well maintained. Fresh towels were provided throughout our stay. There were four of us, and the room had two double beds and a sofa. The room was somewhat small and cramped, and we were unable to open all of our suitcases comfortably at the same time. The main issue for us was the noise. We were initially given a room on the fourth floor facing the main street, and there was quite a lot of outside noise at night. We asked to change rooms, and the hotel kindly moved us to a third-floor room overlooking the pool. Unfortunately, the new room had a different noise issue. We could clearly hear the footsteps and movements of the guests staying in the room above us. Overall, our main concern was the lack of soundproofing. There doesn’t seem to be sufficient insulation between the rooms and floors, as we could hear both outside street noise and noise from the room above. This made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Another thing we found quite frustrating was the hotel’s rule that all guests in the room must be present before anyone is allowed to enter the dining room for breakfast. In our opinion, this is an unnecessary and inconvenient rule. The dining room is also very crowded in the mornings, and there can be a long wait to get inside, which makes the breakfast experience even less convenient. Overall, the hotel was clean and the staff were helpful when we requested a room change, but the noise and the breakfast arrangements were significant drawbacks during our stay.

in the last weekA decent hotel overall. However, the water pressure in the bathroom was rather low, and the shower itself felt old and worn.
