The Wharf Inn

The staff that runs the hotel are very nice, and the location is right next to fisherman’s wharf!

We arrived on a saturday, our rooms were not together. We booked a couple weeks prior of our visit. Rooms were old and tired. One room tolet seat was broken and mold in bathroom, walls were dirty. The other room patched hole in the bathroom. Water pumps where loud. They didn't say the were doing construction to the hotel. Not very clean.... Location awesome.

Even if the key card didn't like the first time she walked up with me and made sure it worked the second time. she went to Great lakes to make sure I was happy. is he even latte coffee by the elevator. so close to the wharf and that restaurants and stores. you can see quite Tower the transamerica building great views. I highly recommend this place.

Location is very convenient - right on the wharf. Room's were updated on the inside - but construction was going on, on the outside. Was not aware of that, but didn't cause any issues. I have been wanting to stay here in the past, and I am glad I finally got the chance to do so.

The Wharf Inn is in such a great location, that alone makes it valuable. As a first time tourist to San Francisco, many of my activities began and ended in Fishermans Wharf. The Wharf Inn is so situated that I walked to many places or took public transportation. It is across the street from a Seven Eleven and two blocks away from a Trader Joe's, for necessities like water. Up the corner, towards the bay is Boudin bakery ( for sourdough bread) and various souvenir shops. A few blocks to the east is Pier 39 and all the way down to the west side is Ghirardelli Square and the beginning of the Powell and Hyde cable car line. One block on the other corner on Beach Street is a convenient street car stop which will take you to the Alcatraz Landing and the Ferry Station. The bus to get to Golden Gate Bridge and the Palace of Fine Arts is a couple of blocks away. Check in was pretty quick.and easy and they do have an elevator. I didn't expect much from the room since this is like a motel. Ours was clean and bed bug free. It has cosmetic problems here and there but it seemed newly painted with new flooring. There's a fridge and a nice TV and the bed was pleasant enough. The walls are very thin though. I could hear my neighbor's kid blasting Kpop Demon Hunters until 1030. Thankfully they stopped after that. There is also just a wall of windows on the door side so if you're napping midday in your room you'll hear the cleaners chitchatting. The blackout windows also didn't fully cover the windows. The bathroom is also clean but my main gripe is the barn door. This does not completely shut and the toilet is right next to the door so make sure your companion is good with sharing the sounds and smells.of normal bodily functions. I mean, maybe don't be newly dating and stay here hahaha At least they have shower gel, shampoo, lotion and handsoap. They clean your room every three days but you can ask for new towels any time. We did get one very ratty towel with holes and rips so maybe they should check their stack, otherwise they were clean. The free coffee didn't materialize until Friday morning so I'm not sure if that was only a weekend deal or if the Keurig was broken. The listing said there were coffee machines in the room but there were not. Overall, I got fantastic value for this place especially since it was the World Cup and it was just very expensive to stay in San Francisco in general. I would recommend people to stay here as long as they set their expectations right and not look for luxurious digs.
