in the last weekHmm. Calling this a hotel is definitely a stretch. Calling this a motel would even be an embellishment. This is a self service, closet sized, shelter. There is no check-in or reception on site. A paper note on the door directs you up the hill to The Stratford for check-in. Nice trek across Powell with luggage and the train tracks. Reception is the opposite of accommodating. Housekeeper service is not included and can be added for $70+ a day. The furniture is minimal including a bed reminiscent of college dorm quality. Restrooms have older fixtures and supplies are bare. Location can be noisy, albeit you're in a city. There are two different windows that are sandwiched together that must both be opened to get fresh air, as Air Conditioning is NOT provided. Proximity to city is absolutely the one positive. Paying more than $75 a night for this place is highway robbery. And convention weekends they charge 15x that.

3 weeks agoVery minimal room, while the bed is made well, the room was very dusty I can wipe off my fingers. The building has a smell to it, maybe old or the carpet. The share bathroom was not adequately warned. And while checking in the receptionist also said it is a “you have a private bathroom outside the room” made me question but I didn’t say anything. But it is clearly a shared bathroom with other rooms. The share bathroom is very dirty with stains on the floor. WiFi connections is so weak it doesn’t even work. Since there is no ac the room gets stuffy but we couldn’t open the windows cause it was just not clean. Would not recommend or return.

a month agoThis place looks nice from afar but once your close you see all the imperfections You think your getting a nice quaint vintage hotel. It looks nice and clean from the pictures. Our room did too when we moved in for our 2 night stay. First thing we had to check in at a different hotel which was strange. They did let us check in early which was nice. We read there was an issue with bedbugs in the past and as we inspected the bedding and mattress we noticed it was nasty and very old. It did have a allergen cover on it so theres that. The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable which we remedied with a cheap topper from target down the street. The room was stuffy and there was a fat hole in the window screen in the bathroom so we couldn't even open the windows. There was light coming through the threshold under the door which made sleeping distracting... oh the pillows were so hard and deflated. There was so much noise over night coming from the hallway. We did find some fleas in our room. But also the website stated we had ac and a refrigerator which we did not. Id not recommend anyone to stay here even if your so hard up to stay somewhere id avoid this and possibly any of the other sister hotels.
