in the last weekI don’t normally post reviews, but after seeing the clearly fake positive reviews and my experience, I must. Went through 3 rooms, all rooms had dirty stained carpets, dim lights and poor ventilation. Next, hot water barely works, then the elevator (one) was out of service. Lastly, location right near the tenderloin area, one of the worse.

a week agoThe hotel may have old vibes, being inside a historic building, but it is still clean, had no complaints with my room. The linens and towels were especially white and clean. I didn't know if the room has air conditioning or heating but this is San Francisco, the weather is always cool. The only thing I didn't like about the hotel is the breakfast, only a very few items or assorted croissants were served, nothing hot except hot water and coffee. They have luggage storage and I was able to use it.

a week agoWe loved this hotel for our weekend stay and will definitely return on our next trip to San Francisco. The staff was very nice and helpful, when we needed it. The free breakfast isn't much but it was perfect for us with the various pastries and coffee. They have a water bottle refill station, which is a nice feature. They also have games to play in the lounge like darts and pool at no charge. The location was good and the walk to the nearest bus is only about a 5-minute walk. Now for the nits (and they are nits)...the bar was not open at all during our stay. When I asked for the hours, the hotel worker said it isn't open because they don't have a bartender currently. There are many places around the hotel to grab a drink, so it wasn't a big deal. Another nit was the design of our particular room. I don't know if others are built this way, so I will only speak for room 611. The tall tub/shower (it wasn't a walk-in shower) is very close to the toilet and sink so there is very little room to get in and out. Also, for those unaware, there is no AC as it is an old building. There are fans over the beds and that was enough for us. Overall, we would definitely return for a future stay.
