in the last weekLovely hostel. It couldn’t be in a more lovely historic setting! The amenities are wonderful and it’s nice I can actually buy a beer here. The one thing that is a drawback is that it’s totally under staffed at the front desk. The front desk people are professional and with a smile, but there needs to be more staff for sure. One person at the desk is not enough for the amount of patrons needing assistance.

in the last weekI met the strangest people in my room with someone smoking someone in the bathroom ( not sure if it was drugs ). I met some really cool young people in the common areas like a musician from New York and a Canadian traveler living in Australia. But that incident with my roommate made me leave asap.

2 weeks agoHad a really great stay at this hostel. The staff was very helpful and prompt in my experience. The hostel has all the necessary amenities including baggage storage for 5$ a day, which comes in handy if you want to check out and explore SF like I did. One problem though is the location, it is very loud during the night and not the safest with drug users roaming and shouting on the streets but this is true, I think, of most of Downtown SF.

2 weeks agoI GOT BEDBUGS HERE!!! 1 week later after leaving, I'm still itching. On the fourth night hostel did move me to a private room, but the damage had been done. Room was nice enough, but the bedbugs spoiled the whole trip!! Response from owner : we don't have bedbugs. Typical denying response. I would have expected this. Bedbugs had hatched eggs in my clothes, ending her to be washed twice to get them all out! Of your "exterminator guy" didn't find anything, you need to find a new one! Itching was maddening! For over one week! Ugh!
